Check out this cool band Bangs

Well here’s my first post on benjivaldez.com, the web page is kinda plain right now but I’ll be fixing that soon. In the meantime I found out about this cool band you should check out.
I logged into my last.fm account a couple of days ago and under the suggested artist section they had this band called Bangs listed and underneath the picture it said they were similar to Sleater-Kinney and Baby Guts. So naturally I had to check them out, the only problem was I could hardly find anything about them. I did find a couple of youtube videos here and here (later I found more videos here).
This one’s my favorite so far:

I thought those were pretty cool so I kept searching and found out they were on the Kill Rock Stars label, and they had a web page on it here: killrockstars.com/bands/bangs
They have a couple of songs on that page that you can download, but my favorite one is ‘I Want More’ which I found here.
I also tried looking on myspace hoping they had a page there, but I didn’t find one at first, all I found was a fan made page which had the same songs I already found at the other website. But then as luck would have it I found this page which has an entire live show of theirs which is pretty cool, I only wish it was higher quality than 96kbps, but I found you can buy and download it from Amazon. I did eventually find their official myspace page though, someone already took bangs so theirs is myspace.com/bangsss. They’ve got a couple of other songs up on that page besides the ones I just mentioned, but of course since it’s myspace they’re only 96kbps.
Anyway I think that about does it for now, I think now I’m going to go watch some Penn & Teller: Bullshit! episodes from the season one DVD that I got but haven’t watched yet.
